About the Opportunity
Sentinelle Medical Inc. (SMI) is seeking an energetic and proactive Sr. Procurement Specialist / Analyst. Our ideal candidate is flexible, resourceful, and has very strong interpersonal and communication skills. The selected candidate should be comfortable in a multi-disciplinary environment, and should be able to work well with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality as well as external suppliers and OEMs. Responsibilities:
· Work with internal design teams, suppliers, manufacturing and major medical OEMs to implement procurement policies and strategies.
· Independently, and with Manufacturing Engineering, resolve supplier issues, such as: quality, repeatability, capability, capacity, etc.
· Set-up and maintain material, supplier and planning system data in the MRP/ERP system (NAVISION).
· Plan and purchase material to prevent production shortages and or project delays.
· Plan and purchase services and MRO requirements.
· Negotiate pricing, delivery, lead-time, etc, with suppliers and partners
· Develop, Implement and Support global sourcing and supplier management initiatives
· Work with receiving, finance and suppliers to reconcile discrepancies in receiving and invoicing.
· Develop a strong understanding of RoHS and banned substance criteria and their applicable legislations and act as a subject matter expert for internal teams and/or suppliers needing assistance.
· Track and report on status updates on material compliance of various projects.
· Utilize and maintain the Supplier Selection process.
· Identify, and lead continuous process improvement initiatives.
· Maintain metrics and lead root cause / corrective actions initiatives
Requirements
Technical:
· 5+ yrs procurement experience
· Related Degree, Technical Diploma, or certification
· PMAC designation (preferred)
· Experience with MRP / ERP systems, NAVISION preferred
· Experience in electronic / mechanical product engineering environment.
· Experience in supply chain management
· Demonstrated negotiation skills
· Proficiency in MS Office products (especially Word, Excel, Visio and Project)
· Knowledge of machining, molding, casting, forming and other manufacturing techniques would be an asset, but is not necessary.
· Proficient in managing cross functional projects.

· Interest in the medical field.
· Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
· Strong oral and written communications skills; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical teams.
· Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relations ship with external partners.
· Must be a highly motivated self-starter and be able to work under ambiguity.
