Field Service Representative

As the Field Service Representative you will have the opportunity to train hospitals and clinics in the use of Sentinelle equipment. You will work independently and interface directly with the customer in helping to promote our products; and obtain customer feedback for potential product updates. You will also have the opportunity to travel within North America.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document: installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on medical systems involving mechanical, electrical, and software components.
- Provide frequent and clear communication with customers as well as MRI OEMs in order to facilitate timely installations as well as on-going safe and effective use of our systems.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures, company policies, ethical conduct and safe work practices.
- Manage an individual schedule for travel and on-site visit times; planning visits to customer sites in the most efficient and effective manner.
- Manage assigned service tool kits and spare parts inventory.
- Provide timely recording of data into the service database and report engineering issues to design and manufacturing teams.
- Promote service contracts to customers and ensure compliance to agreements.
- Communicate regularly with sales and all other internal departments to promote cross-departmental collaboration.
- Travel more than 50% of the time.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year service experience with electromechanical devices.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Willing to travel in Canada and the United States with minimal notice.
- Ability to relate professionally to all levels of hospital personnel.
- A proven ability to adapt quickly in order to manage multiple and conflicting demands, while executing on time with high customer satisfaction.
- Ability to set priorities in order to effectively schedule work to be done at customer sites.
- Proven organizational skills and coordination skills.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Knowledge of standard office software and database experience.
- Valid Canadian passport and ability to travel within North America.
- Some heavy lifting and the use of hand tools are required.
- Technical diploma or Biomedical Engineering degree.
- Above-average mechanical aptitude.
