Senior Software Developer and Architect

Reporting to the Director, Software Solutions, the Senior Software Developer & Architect will drive software development efforts by designing and implementing enterprise level software optimizing key system attributes such as performance, security, scalability and availability.
 
The Senior Software Developer & Architect will:
 
- Work with other Senior Developers and Architect(s) to help design, grow and maintain the Sentinelle Aegis Medical Imaging Platform to support an increasing number of clinical applications.
- Participate in the requirements specification, design and implementation of innovative .Net software development projects that interact with a variety of Medical Imaging, Biopsy and Interventional Oncology devices.
- Create solutions for technical and non technical audiences.
- Drive new standards, tools, trends, technologies and processes through the software development organization. Contribute to continuous software development process improvement.
- Model and document complex system components and interactions.
- Coach and mentor other software developers providing architectural guidance and conducting code reviews.
- May be asked to provide team lead functions for junior developer(s).
- Provide project support and/or leadership on the introduction of new products and product modifications.
- Perform other duties/special projects as assigned.
 
Requirements
 
- Software Engineering or Science university degree.
- Minimum 7 years .Net experience in a research and product development environment.
- Experience with medical devices or medical imaging is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work under time constraints.
- Proven project management skills.
- Team lead or team management skills are an asset.
