Software Support Specialist

As the Software Support Specialist you will have the opportunity to contribute to and build upon a strong support infrastructure for cutting edge software. You will work independently and interface directly with luminary customers in helping to get the right support tools to the users. You will have an educational opportunity to obtain customer feedback for future products. You will also have the opportunity to travel within North America. 
 
Responsibilities:
 
- Perform and document installations and troubleshooting of medical imaging software, including hardware and software set up, as well as PACS configuration.
- Provide web-based support and upgrades via remote login. 
- Use and maintain customer databases and ticketing system for tracking issues to resolution.
- Seamlessly migrate user data when upgrading hardware or OS platforms at customer sites.
- Create accurate, complete and concise problem statements and communicate engineering issues to design and support teams.
- Coordinate installations with IT and/or PACS administrators at the hospital or clinic.
- Answer calls from customers in a professional manner.
- Travel between 50% and 75% of the time during busy periods. 
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned. 
 
Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years of service experience with IT service in the medical devices market.
- PACS configuration and troubleshooting experience is an asset. UNIX and Windows experience needed.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must be willing to travel in Canada and the United States with short notice when necessary and must possess valid travel documents.
- Able to relate professionally to all levels of hospital personnel; specifically with IT personnel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Some heavy lifting and use of hand tools is required.
- Experience with network troubleshooting (IP addresses, subnets, ports, firewalls, etc.)
- Strong technical aptitude
