Mechanical Draftsperson

· Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical and electrical parts and cable assemblies using SolidWorks.
· Coordinate with and consult Design, Manufacturing and Quality personnel to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
· Perform basic engineering analysis including tolerance studies, interference and motion checks, free body diagrams, engineering calculations, etc.
· Manage configurations, comments layouts, revisions, part numbers and Bills of Materials.
· Develop automated tools for drawing generation, checking, import and export.
· Develop inspection dimensions & criteria based on a solid knowledge of manufacturing and metrology
· Prepare and manage Engineering Change Notices
Requirements
· Fast and conscientious work style and an ability to learn quickly
· Mechanical design or engineering diploma
· Minimum 5 years experience in an electronics and mechanical engineering environment.
· Minimum 3 years experience in Solidworks.
· Knowledge of standard GD&T practices and ASME Y14.5M.
