Imaging Physicist

As the Imaging Physicist you will use your in-depth MRI knowledge to improve patient outcomes. You will detect and investigate subtle imaging effects which arise with the latest high-performance coil arrays. The Imaging Physicist plays an important role supporting research and clinical activities at world-renowned centres. 
 
Responsibilities
The Imaging Physicist will:
·          Troubleshoot MRI imaging problems and perform root cause analysis.
·          Classify problems as originating with manufacturing, design, clinical/workflow or 3rd party problems.
·          Provide feedback to Sentinelle's Engineering, Service, and Applications Training teams on possible improvements.
·          Work with Customers, by phone or on-site, on clinical imaging problems.
·          Provide in-house expertise on all imaging problems.
·          Provide essential support to engineering teams during Beta testing of next generation devices.
·          Will include some travel within North America
·          Work to optimize imaging protocols to speed workflow and improve diagnostic ability
·          Advise and support luminary clinicians in both their research and clinical activities.
·          Collaborate with MRI vendors on improving equipment integration
·          Perform other duties/special projects as assigned.
Requirements
·          MRI Physics and clinical imaging experience.
·          Excellent written communication and technical writing skills.
·          Detail oriented.
·          Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple inputs and projects from a variety of sources.
·          Strong analytical and problem solving skills; coupled with the ability to address problem areas and provide solutions to key stakeholders with diplomacy and tact.
·          Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
·          Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
·          Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
·          Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
·          Fluent in English.
·          Relevant Bachelor's degree.
 
Desired
·          Master's degree or Ph.D. in Engineering or Science.
·          Experience with MRI coil design
·          Experience with clinical image viewing (PACS workstations)
·          Experience with pulse sequence development
·          Experience with other imaging modalities
·          Ability to speak other languages.
